BBYW Vol. 4 Chapter 57 (WN)
Chapter 57 – The Queen and the Evil Deity
“Is that… what you truly desire…?”
(Eh…?)
In my hollow heart, an unknown voice resounded.
I slowly raised my head, looked left and right, I could only see the clerics. Where could the voice have come from?
“Are you going to give up like this…? Cry yourself to sleep…? Do you not wish to…take revenge?”
“Revenge…”
I just repeated the word, like a child who heard it for the first time.
Since Hades had snatched away my feelings, there was no more anger or hate inside me. The desire for payback had disappeared too.
“It’s fine, dear…I’m going to help you. Together, we can murder all the people who robbed you of your loved ones…every last one of them. Just leave it all to me…”
(Leave it…to…)
Those words sounded mysteriously compelling. Before I realized, I nodded to the voice in my head.
“Wonderful. So it’s decided, yes? Just entrust yourself to me…and release all of your power!”
“W-What!? What’s going on!?”
One of the high clerics screamed.
Behind me, a shadow appeared: it was as if the dark of the night had taken shape. The pitch black silhouette then extended countless thin tentacles and wrapped around my body.
“This can’t be…! How can there be an evil deity here!?”
The head cleric’s eyes opened wide, as her knees gave way and she fell on her behind. Her wand too hit the floor with a loud clanging, rolling off towards the wall.
“Pleased to meet you, everybodyyyy! I’m your favorite idol, the evil deity Nyarlathotep!”
A giant eye had emerged from the darkness.
The eyeball produced countless tentacles, as thin as hair, which enveloped my body and penetrated it from every possible hole.
Violent chills and nerve-racking pain shook my body. Yet all of that too was quickly sucked away by Hades, to turn into power.
“L-Let the Queen go at once! Be strong, all, we must drive away the evil deity!!”
“Too bad for you all, but this precious little girl here is a—ll mine already. So…I can do this, see?”
“GWAAAHHGH!?”
Nyarlathotep’s eye shuddered, elated. The next instant, the Holy Guards summoned in the hall attacked the clerics.
“Your Majesty!! Please open your eyes!! You are supposed to protect…gwrah!”
Before the head cleric could finish her sentence, a sword was thrust through her back.
The old woman, blood foaming from her mouth, turned around, and found a mummified young man behind her.
“I…protect…Tina…”
The head cleric had been stabbed by Amstrahotep, reborn as a mummy. The man I once loved glared at the old woman, hatred burning in the cavities of his eyes.
“Hee-eeeeek!?”
The old woman crawled away from Amstrahotep, spattering blood everywhere.
What awaited her, however, was the group of Holy Guards who had just finished executing the other high clerics. She was surrounded by the mummies.
“N-NO!! You cannot do this to me! What did I do to deserve thiiiis!!!”
The highest authority of the shrine, stripped of all dignity, was torn to pieces by the undead.
The Queen’s Chambers, as well as all the gold and fortunes inside, were showered in blood.
“Phew…”
The people who had taken away my loved ones had been killed, sparing no one. No emotion, however, swelled inside my chest.
“That’s natural, dear! This isn’t enough, no no. Isn’t that right? My sweet Nefertina.”
The evil deity who took over my body whispered to me.
“All the people in this country…and the rest of the world…let’s kill them all, shall we? Your big sis and cutie boyfriend got killed, isn’t it unfair that everyone else is alive?”
Unfair…? Yes…I suppose it was…
If she said so, then it had to be.
I nodded and raised my hand. One hundred, two hundred…countless undead soldiers were summoned in the chamber.
As I gave the order. The Holy Guards exited the pyramid and went to attack the people of this country. Unable to oppose the sudden betrayal of the former guardians of the kingdom, they were all massacred without mercy.
Eventually Jaswat, the kingdom of the great river, fell into ruin, and the undead horde spread throughout the desert.
The undead would never stop, not until they killed every last human being on the planet.

“Enough with the bullshit illusions.”
However…before the world ended, another unknown voice echoed in my head. This time, it was a man.
The silver flash of a blade cleaved my world in two, and everything disappeared into the light.
