NBAA Vol. 8 Chapter 1 Part 8
After about ten minutes, Reito and the others climbed over the sand dunes and discovered a large ruin.
It certainly looked very similar to the building where the teleport crystal was installed.
It was a tower-shaped building like the Tower’s Great Labyrinth, and there were windows. But no matter where they looked, there were no doors.
“What’s with this building? There’s no door, so how do we get in?”
“Even if you enter through the window, even the lowest point is three meters off the ground. I think an average adventurer could climb this high without using the ‘Leap’ skill…”
“If you’re not sure you can get over it, just tell me. I’ll carry you inside.”
“I can make a sand staircase with the magic ‘Earth Block’…”
“No, sand would crumble easily! Even I can jump over this much.”
Adventurers have higher physical abilities than the average person, so it’s not impossible for them to jump over a height of about three meters. Anyone with the ‘Leap’ skill can jump over it, and in fact, Reito was able to jump over three meters as a child.
“I’ll go and check what’s going on inside, that I will. Wait for me until I give the signal, okay?”
“Okay. Be careful.”
“Then, let’s go… Secret technique, ‘Wall Running’!”
“Well, it’s impressive, but can’t you just jump normally?”
Hanzo didn’t “Leap” but ran up the wall using only both feet. Dain remarked as she ignored gravity and moved.
Normal jumping would undoubtedly reduce energy consumption, but Hanzo just slipped through the window.
“Nyowaaaahh!?”
“Hey, I heard a scream!?”
“Was that a scream?”
“Are you all right?”
Hanzo’s voice came from the window.
“I’m fine, that I am, that I was just surprised that I was further away from the floor of the building than I thought, that I am safe, but I’m not sure if the others will be able to get down successfully…”
She got carried away and jumped over the window, but it seemed to be far from the floor inside, and if she had jumped over it poorly, she might have been seriously injured.
“That’s a problem… Hanzo! Can you get out?”
“That’s no problem! It seems to be a spiral staircase inside! I think I can run to the original window with ‘Wall Running’, but the window is about ten meters away, that I think!”
“Ten meters… That’s not a problem, right?”
“Right.”
“Ten meters…”
“No, I can’t jump that height!”
It was no problem for Reito, who was in good physical condition, and Shizune, who was the vanguard, but it was difficult for the heavy Gonzo and the low-level Dain to jump over it.
In the first place, the size of the window meant that Gonzo couldn’t get through it. Reito had no choice but to use the “Ice Block” magic to forcefully carry them in when he came up with a brilliant idea.

“That method?”
“For now, I’ll go first.”
Below was sandy ground, but just to be safe, he used the “Limit Boost” magic to increase his physical abilities and stood on the window frame.
Then, being careful not to lose his footing, he looked inside.
There was indeed a spiral staircase leading to the basement. While watching Hanzo on the stairs investigating the situation below, Reito activated space magic.
“Hanzo!! Watch your back!!”
“Oh, Reito-sama has come too… whoa!?”
A black swirl of space magic appeared behind Hanzo. She nearly fell off the stairs, but somehow managed to recover.
Watching this, Reito made a small black swirl appear in his hand as well. He then dropped the dismantling dagger into it.
If it was a storage spell, the dagger would have been stored in another dimension, but… the dagger fell from the black vortex he had created on the stairs.
“Oh?! Something fell?”
“Please collect that. Now… I hope it goes as well as this experiment.”
Reito erased the black vortex in his hand and focused his attention on his companions looking up at him from the window. Then, a black vortex appeared in front of them.
“Whoa?! What’s this black thing… Could it be that my new shadow magic has finally awakened?”
“No, I don’t think that’s it.”
“This is… the same thing that appears when you activate the storage stone. Is it Reito’s magic?”
Dain cried out in surprise at the black vortex that suddenly appeared in space, but Shizune immediately turned her gaze to Reito.
Meanwhile, Reito created a black vortex in front of him and expanded it to a size large enough for a human to pass through. Then he entered it. Like the dagger earlier, Reito appeared from the black vortex.
