Within the VRMMO-RPG THE NEW GATE, the veteran player Shin was suddenly transported 500 years into the future, into a world that had become reality.

While stopping by the marine city of Barbatos, Shin heard a report about a magic-powered battleship—one he himself had built during the game era—and set out to investigate.

His exploration of the sea, now ruled by three monstrous sea lords, led to the successful discovery of the battleship. However, he also uncovered a troubling truth: the surrounding area had become increasingly dangerous due to the spread of miasma.

The only way to resolve the threat was to purify the Seafloor Sanctuary, where the Sea Dragon Ishkar resided.

And so, the strongest player from the online world plunged into the depths of an underwater dungeon to confront the crisis head-on.
