TNG VOLUME 22: Garden of Steel

Within the VRMMO-RPG THE NEW GATE, the veteran player Shin was suddenly transported 500 years into the future, into a world that had become reality.

While participating in the “Wrought Iron Battle Festival” held in the multiethnic nation of Kurikara, Shin successfully quelled a terrorist attack that caused weapons and armor to run amok during the event. His remarkable blacksmithing skills, displayed during the incident, earned recognition, and he and his companions were subsequently invited to Parda Island, the headquarters of the elite craftsmen group known as the Black Faction.

While touring the underwater mining veins used by the faction, an unexpected phenomenon occurred: a relic in Shin’s possession reacted to the bones of a Divine Beast buried beneath the seafloor. This event awakened a dangerous monster—one that had once tormented players even during the game era.

With a horde of monsters closing in on Parda Island, Shin and his companions rose to face the threat.
