Chapter 16 – Glory and Rewards
Oskar led us to the door of the treasure room.
The heavy door was plainly decorated, with minimal workmanship.
When one of the mages chanted a spell, the door to the treasure room opened.
“Oh!”
The inside of the treasure room was so spacious that it was easy to marvel at it, and there were many treasures and magic tools enshrined there.
Just by looking at it, one could tell that all of them were expensive.
“That’s an awful lot of stuff.”
“A treasure room should have at least this much, right? But, as expected of the Galzio Empire.”
“This is the first time I’ve seen a treasure trove from another country…”
“Hahaha, I’m gonna have a hard time choosing…I think?”
“I’m baffled, but this is amazing.”
“Wow, this is wonderful…”
Finne, Iris, Asha, Suzuno, Kuzel and Ephyr all responded in different ways.
It was also my first time seeing a treasure trove.
That’s when I suddenly remembered and asked Oskar, who was following me.
“Oskar, how many can I take?”
“I haven’t decided how many you can take with you. But I’m sorry, I can’t give you all of them.”
“Okay, let me take a look and choose a few.”
“Please do that. However, there are some things that I can’t give you, so once you’ve decided what you want, let me confirm it once… That’s right. I would appreciate it if both Suzuno and Kuzel would do the same and pick a few items. We wouldn’t want to lose all the country’s treasures at once.”
Both Suzuno and Kuzel nodded at Oskar’s words, who smiled pleasantly.

After Oskar left, we turned our attention to the treasure room.

I forgot something important, so I asked the treasure room’s manager.

That’s how we started our treasure hunt.
I spent a few minutes looking through ornaments like crowns, necklaces, precious metals, weapons like swords and shields, and tools I didn’t know what they could be used for.

Suzuno asked, pointing at a certain magical tool.
What was displayed at the end of it was a necklace.
“Did you check it with Appraisal?”

Kuzel gave up.

Hearing Kuzel’s words, I decided to make her a special sword next time.
I didn’t want her to pick up a strange weapon in her quest for offensive power.
After that, we took our time and searched for what we wanted.
Suzuno seemed to have decided on the “Sublimation Necklace” since the manager had given her permission to keep it.
Then she also chose another magical tool, a “Benevolence Bracelet” which has an automatic recovery effect.
In the end, Kuzel chose “Attack Gauntlet”, a weapon that increases attack power, and “Storage Bag”, a bag that can hold a large amount of items.
Kuzel’s choice was very typical of her.
As for me, I chose two jewels called “Sky Jewel” that had no effect, and something called “Magic Crystal.”
